CDs are now available from the link on the Media page as well as at local retailer, Hastings in Nacogdoches. It is still available for download through Bandcamp,, and at Amazon.com. Please go get a copy from one of these sources. We are working on getting the CDs in to more retailers and will post that information as we can.

Big News: Subliminal Moonshine is now available for streaming and download on the Media page. The CDs will be in local stores on Friday, June 4th .  The Media page is hosted by Bandcamp.com and they have a choice of download formats when you buy the album from them. Everything from full CD quality flac to 320kbps MP3 are available to download. You can go ahead and buy Subliminal Moonshine ahead of schedule from them and all the files are properly tagged to import easily into iTunes or the music/media software of your choice. I am very pleased and excited to be appearing at the Pine Knot Music Co-op show on April 27th, 2010 at Millard’s Crossing. My good friend, Jeff Perkins has agreed to help me out lending his instrumental and vocal talents to my set. I will be previewing some material from my soon to be released first solo album as well as covering some of mine and Jeff’s favorite Big Star songs as a tribute to Alex Chilton who recently passed away on March 17th, 2010. We are also intending to honor the late Chris Bell of Big Star who passed away 32 years ago this year.

Grady will be appearing at this month’s Pine Knot Music show on Friday April 27th at Millard’s Crossing in Nacogdoches, TX.  Jeff Perkins will be helping out on bass and backing vocals for this performance. Grady will be previewing several songs from his forthcoming CD,  Subliminal Moonshine as well as performing a few covers including some from legendary band, Big Star in honor of the late Alex Chilton and Chris Bell. Grady and Jeff will start at 8PM, opening the show.

The Merchandise Store recently added to GradyTruchelut.com is the same as the Fast Acting Records Store at www.fastactingrecords.com. This was done until we can get a separate store built for this site, but the store includes basically only merchandise from bands that feature or featured Grady as Fast Acting Records is Grady’s own private label brand. Items currently do not include any Subliminal Moonshine merchandise as we wait for the artwork and layout to be finished. We hope you’ll check out the Fast Acting Records and Gravity Raincoat merchandise that are available in the meantime. The Space Thumb cover art shirts are particularly cool and both it and the Fast Acting Records logo were designed by Grady himself.

A hard rock edge mixed with southern rock, alt country and alternative rock sensibilities probably best describes Grady’s forthcoming release,  Subliminal Moonshine. This release is a mixture of driving, hook laden rock and psychedelia with alt country and southern rock sensibilities thrown in for good measure. With a forecast release of April or May 2010, Grady will realize his first completely “solo” release.  In this sense, Subliminal Moonshine is truly a solo album with Grady self producing and performing, almost exclusively, all of the instruments and vocals himself.
